Game Report: Predators 3, Blues 2 (shootout)

The Blues rallied from a 2-0 deficit to sent Monday night’s game to overtime but could not get the goal they needed in a shootout and lost to the Predators in Nashville.

Goals from David Perron in the second period and Brayden Schenn in the third period tied the game after the Predators had built a quick 2-0 lead in the first period.

Perron scored again to open the shootout, but that was the only goal for the Blues in four attempts as the Predators got goals from Filip Forsberg and Daniel Carr to get the win.

Jake Allen stopped 37 of 39 shots for the Predators, who defeated the Blues in regulation on Saturday night in St. Louis.

The Blues three-game road trip will continue on Wednesday night in Tampa against the Lightning.
