Game Report: Penguins 3, Blues 0

It had been more than a month since the Blues lost a game in regulation on the road before they were shut out by the Penguins on Wednesday night in Pittsburgh.

The Blues had earned at least one point in their last 10 road games, dating back to a 3-0 loss on Oct. 26 in Boston. The franchise record for a road point streak is 11 games set during the 1999-2000 season.

The loss also snapped their four-game winning streak and was only their sixth loss in regulation in 30 games this season.

The Penguins scored just 39 seconds into the game and the Blues never caught up as Pittsburgh added goals in each of the second and third periods.

Jordan Binnington took the loss, stopping 30 of the Penguins 33 shots.

The Blues will be back home on Saturday night to host the Toronto Maple Leafs.
