O’Reilly’s goal in shootout gives Blues their seventh consecutive win

It took a little extra work, but the Blues won their seventh consecutive game on Saturday with a 4-3 victory in a shootout over the Dallas Stars at Enterprise Center.

Ryan O’Reilly scored the only goal in the shootout as Jake Allen stopped all three Dallas attempts.

Allen also had come up with a big save on a breakaway by Jamie Benn of the Stars late in overtime.

The Blues had a 3-2 lead late in the third period before the Stars pulled their goal and scored a 6-on-5 goal to tie the game and send it to overtime.

This is the third winning streak of at least seven games for the Blues this season.

The Blues’ goals came from David Perron, Tyler Bozak and Brayden Schenn.

The Blues will begin a three-game road trip on Tuesday night against the Rangers in New York.
