Busch Stadium is buzzing with excitement as last touches are being made to be ready for the Wild Card Playoffs the weekend of Ot. 7, 8 and possibly 9, 2022 in St. Louis.

UMPIRES SET FOR WILD CARD SERIES PRESENTED BY HANKOOK TIRE, DIVISION SERIES

Wild Card Series Crew Chiefs Are Barrett, Márquez, Meals and Nelson;

Carlson, Hudson, Iassogna and Miller to Lead Division Series Crews

Major League Baseball today announced the Major League Umpires who have been assigned to the 2022 Wild Card Series presented by Hankook Tire, all of which will be available across ESPN platforms, and the Division Series.

The four Wild Card Series crew chiefs are Ted Barrett, Alfonso Márquez, Jerry Meals and Jeff Nelson.  Barrett will be the crew chief in the American League Wild Card Series between the AL Central Champion Cleveland Guardians and the Tampa Bay Rays.  Meals will serve as the crew chief in the AL Wild Card Series that matches up the host Toronto Blue Jays and the Seattle Mariners.  On the National League side, Nelson will be the crew chief in the Wild Card Series between the NL Central Champion St. Louis Cardinals and the Philadelphia Phillies, while Márquez will guide the crew that features the host New York Mets and the San Diego Padres.  Major League Umpires Dan Bellino, Rob Drake, Manny Gonzalez and Mark Wegner will be the Replay Officials throughout the Wild Card Series.

The four Division Series crew chiefs are Mark Carlson, Marvin Hudson, Dan Iassogna and Bill Miller.  Hudson’s crew will work the American League Division Series that features the top-seeded Houston Astros.  Iassogna’s crew will be on the field for the ALDS in which the AL East Champion New York Yankees will have home-field advantage.  Carlson’s crew has been assigned to the National League Division Series that includes the top-seeded Los Angeles Dodgers.  Miller’s crew will call the NLDS that features the NL East Champion Atlanta Braves.  Major League Umpires Ramon De Jesus, Mike Estabrook, Gabe Morales, and Bill Welke have been named the Replay Officials during the Division Series.  A complete listing of the rotations through the Division Series accompanies this press release.

All games telecast on TBS, FOX and FS1 will be available to MLB.TV subscribers who are authenticated subscribers to the applicable network through a participating pay TV provider.  The Wild Card Series will also be available via the ESPN App.  ESPN Radio will provide live national coverage of all 2022 MLB Postseason games, including the Wild Card Series.  MLB Network will provide comprehensive coverage and analysis of the entire Postseason, including the American League Division Series and the American League Championship Series in Spanish.  The 2022 Postseason schedule, subject to change, can be viewed in its entirety at MLB.com/postseason.

 The National League Central Division Champion St. Louis Cardinals (93-69) begin a best-of-three series tomorrow against the third NL Wild Card winner, Philadelphia Phillies (87-75).  A limited amount of tickets for each Wild Card game are available at cardinals.com/postseason.  Below are details for the NL Wild Card series against the Phillies.

Delaware North Sportservice, the club’s concessionaire for more than 50 years, has developed a few new menu items for the 2022 postseason, including:

  • Midwest Monster: Burger patty, pepper jack cheese, pickles, house-smoked BBQ pulled pork and onion rings served on an onion Kaiser roll.  Available outside Section 150.
  • Korean BBQ Pulled Pork Tater Tot Nachos: A bed of tater tots covered with Korean BBQ pulled pork, Pico de Gallo, queso, wasabi sour, kimchi, and scallions.  Available outside Section 135 and Section 458.
  • Frozen Custard Treat: Frozen custard with a warm chocolate chip cookie.  Available at Dinger Donuts outside Sections 145.

BUSCH STADIUM BOX OFFICE

The Box Office is open on game days from 10AM until 90 minutes after the scheduled game time.  On non-game days, the Box Office is open Monday–Friday from 10AM–5PM.  Fans can inquire about tickets by calling 314-345-9000.

OFFICIAL TEAM STORE AT BUSCH STADIUM

The Official Cardinals Team Store at Busch Stadium features the area’s best selection of premium Cardinals merchandise and is open daily from 10 AM–6 PM.  The Team Store closes to the public during home games, 15 minutes prior to gates opening.  The Team Store will close approximately one hour after home games.

Game Times Set for Wild Card – Tickets Still Available!
Major League Baseball has officially announced the start times for this weekend’s best-of-three National League Wild Card Series between the Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies.

First pitch for Game 1 on Friday, October 7, will be at 1:07 PM CT and televised nationally on ABC.

Game 2 on Saturday, October 8, will begin at 7:37 PM CT and televised nationally on ESPN2.

A potential winner-take-all Game 3 on Sunday, October 9, will start at either 6:07 PM CT, 6:37 PM CT or 7:37 PM CT (depending on how many of the four MLB Wild Card Series have been completed) and televised on either ESPN or ESPN2.

Busch Stadium gates will open 2 ½ hours prior to each game.

Tickets are still available for all three Wild Card Series games at cardinals.com/postseason.

Wild Card and Division Series

As the 2022 Postseason approaches, tickets for potential National League Wild Card and Division Series games at Busch Stadium are on sale.

The Cardinals will be playing in the Wild Card Friday and Saturday and possibly Sunday– Oct. 7, 8, and 9. All of the Cardinals wildcard games are at Busch.

Fanatics

Tickets for the three potential NL Wild Card games and three potential NLDS games, starting as low as $20, will be available at cardinals.com/postseason and via phone at 314.345.9000. In-person sales at the Busch Stadium Box Office will be available beginning Monday, September 19, at 10 AM CT.

Depending on the final regular season standings, the Cardinals could host all three NL Wild Card games (best-of-three series) at Busch Stadium beginning Friday, October 7th.

If the Cardinals advance to the NL Division Series, they could host as many as three home games, beginning either Tuesday, October 11th or Friday, October 14th, depending upon seeding.

Ticket details for possible National League Championship Series

2022 NLCS Tickets on Sale Now!
Tickets are now on sale for potential National League Championship Series games at Busch Stadium.

Tickets for the four potential NLCS games, starting as low as $50, are available at cardinals.com/postseason, via phone at 314.345.9000, and at the Busch Stadium Box Office. All tickets will be digitally delivered exclusively via the MLB Ballpark app. Tickets are limited to four per customer, per game.

Pending results of the earlier rounds of Postseason play, the Cardinals could host as many as four possible home games during the NLCS, beginning either Tuesday, October 18 or Friday, October 21.

Ticket details for possible World Series home games will be announced at a later date.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced that tickets for potential National League Championship Series games will go on sale Thursday, October 6, at 12 PM CT.

Tickets for the four potential NLCS games, starting as low as $50, will be available at cardinals.com, via phone at 314.345.9000 and at the Busch Stadium Box Office.  All tickets will be digitally delivered exclusively via the MLB Ballpark app.  Tickets are limited to four per customer, per game.

If the Cardinals advance to the NLCS and match up against the Los Angeles Dodgers or the NL East Division winning team, they would host NLCS Game 3 at Busch Stadium on Friday, October 21, NLCS Game 4 on Saturday, October 22, and NLCS Game 5 (if necessary) on Sunday, October 23.

                If the Cardinals advance to the NLCS and match up against a National League Wild Card team, they would host NLCS Game 1 at Busch Stadium on Tuesday, October 18, NLCS Game 2 on Wednesday, October 19, NLCS Game 6 (if necessary) on Monday, October 24, and NLCS Game 7 (if necessary) on Tuesday, October 25.

In advance of the public sale, fans can also receive ticket access for 2022 Cardinals postseason games by placing a deposit on new 2023 season tickets.
