LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

WEDNESDAY, JULY 29, 2026 

The Cubs scored seven runs off Michael McGreevy in the first two innings on Tuesday night and pounded the Cardinals 10-2 at Busch Stadium. In the first two games of the four-game series the Cubs have scored 17 runs on 31 hits, 17 of the hits coming on Tuesday night.

The loss dropped the Cardinals below .500 for the first time this season. They have lost nine of their last 11 games.

Dustin May will get the start tonight.
