Game Report: Wild 2, Blues 1 (overtime)
The Blues had to work extra over the weekend to earn three of a possible four points.
After winning in a shootout at home over Boston on Saturday, the Blues were in Minnesota on Sunday night and again went to overtime before losing to the Wild.
It was the 12th game in a span of 20 days for the Blues and their third overtime game in their last four games.
The Blues trailed 1-0 going to the third period before tying the game on a power-play goal by Alex Pietrangelo. Ryan Donato’s goal 2:29 into overtime won the game for the Wild.
The Wild outshot the Blues 35-28, with Jake Allen making 33 saves.
Looking ahead: The Blues return home to host Nashville on Tuesday night at Enterprise Center.
