LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 2026 

Jacob deGrom continued his career mastery over the Cardinals on Monday night, throwing five shutout innings in outdueling Michael McGreevy in the Rangers 2-1 win in the opener of a three-game series at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals have not defeated deGrom since 2017, a span of six starts in which he 5-0 with one no-decision.The Cardinals only run came on Masyn Winn's homer after deGrom left the game.

Dustin May will get the start tonight in the second game of the series.
