LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

WEDNESDAY, JULY 1, 2026 

Matthew Liberatore allowed just one run on one hit and struck out nine over five innings Tuesday night as the Cardinals picked up a 5-3 win over the Braves in Atlanta. He got all of the offensive support he needed from a solo home run by Nelson Velazquez and a three-run shot by Nathan Church, both in the fourth inning.

Michael McGreevy will get the start tonight in the second game of the series.
