Miles Mikolas pitched out of a third-inning jam and the Cardinals went on to beat the Brewers 4-1 on Tuesday night im Milwaukee. He did not allow another hit through the seventh inning. Richie Palacios doubled in two runs and Tommy Edman added a home run.

Zack Thompson will get the start tonight in the second game of the series.
