LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

MONDAY, MAY 25, 2026

The Cardinals game at Cincinnati on Sunday was postponed because of rain, wiping out the major-league debut of left-hander Brycen Mautz. The game will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on Aug. 17, which will now be part of a five-game series. The Cardinals and Reds played a doubleheader on Saturday after Friday night's game was rained out, splitting the two games. Before the rain-out, Matt Svanson was optioned to Memphis to open a roster spot for Mautz.

Matthew Liberatore is scheduled to get the start today as the road trip continues with the first of three games against the Brewers in Milwaukee.
