LEADOFF QUICK HITTERS

TUESDAY, APRIL 14, 2026

The Cardinals lost their third game in a row on Monday night, falling 9-3 in the opener of a three-game series against the Cleveland Guardians at Busch Stadium. Jordan Walker homered again, his major-league leading eighth in the first 16 games of the season and seventh in his last nine games.

In their three consecutive losses the Cardinals have been outscored 25-7 and only scored four runs that didn't come on a home run by Walker.

Michael McGreevy will get the start tonight in the second game of the series.
